The Thurston County Republican Party is urging participation in the Tax Day Tea Party. The tax protest will be held at noon on April 15th at the Capitol Campus in Olympia.
 
“This event, sponsored by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation upholds the core beliefs of our political philosophy,” stated Scott Roberts, Chairman of the TCRP. Mr. Roberts continued by stating, “The state and federal governments are increasingly intruding into the paychecks of hard working Americans. We believe that the excessive spending, at an accelerated rate, only shows a lack of restraint by our elected officials.  Instead of cutting costs, they are attempting to increase the taxpayer's burden.”

The Thurston County Republican Party is dedicated to monitoring the actions of the Washington State Legislature. Participating in events like the Tax Day Tea Party is one way our members can have their collective voice heard by our elected officials.
